MMC Patch Cord

The MMC connector combines a miniature MT ferrule (TMT) with an innovative Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) design, ushering in a new generation of high-density, low insertion loss connectivity. It is designed to meet diverse data center application requirements, including structured cabling, high-fiber-count data center interconnects, optical modules, and onboard optics.

Features

  • The MMC connector features a single-latch locking mechanism positioned away from the optical interface of the TMT ferrule, effectively reducing debris generation around the ferrule end face during mating and unmating processes.
  • The TMT ferrule incorporates a compact footprint, reduced epoxy reservoir, and symmetrical structure design, providing a technical pathway for lowering insertion loss while enhancing environmental stability and reliability. These innovations surpass the definition limits specified under IEC 61755-1 Grade B standards.
  • Its symmetrical architecture and minimized epoxy retention requirements ensure outstanding stability and performance under both controlled and uncontrolled environmental testing conditions defined by TIA-568 and GR-1435 standards.
